Member Support
Coaching & Consulting
OEN provides up to 30 hours per year of coaching and consultative support as part of OEN membership. Members can access additional consulting support, including fundraising, executive management, and IT projects for reduced fees.
Resource Area
OEN provides an online, curated resource area that includes best practices, sample training guides, educational videos, gear resources, and more.
Technology & Operations
Effective IT is essential for running a gear library and OEN provides hands-on support for our members in all areas, from web-development to organizational structure.
Program Design
With a diversity of groups in our network, OEN staff is able to provide meaningful program design support for all types of gear libraries and training programs. All program design support is made with an emphasis on expanding access and creating an outdoor culture of care and connection.
Inventory Management
Running a gear library is practically impossible without effective inventory management, and OEN provides support to improve member systems.
Fundraising Support
OEN is provides coaching and support for grant-writing and fundraising strategies.

Disounts from Partner Companies
We offer a number of discounts ranging from 20% to 50% through our various corporate partners. Additional fees may apply for large numbers of purchases.
In-Kind Gear Fundraising
OEN is able to secure hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of gear donations each year. Additional fees may apply for large numbers of donations.
Professional Community
Monthly Member Meeting & Skills Sharing
OEN provides monthly PD opportunities for professional development where network members and guests share areas of expertise with the rest of the network, through both storytelling and structured presentations.
Member Working Groups
Working groups are regularly scheduled gatherings where members can collaborate around best practices and areas of concern. Working group subjects have included Queer Affirming Curriclum, Inventory Management, and Program Design.
Member Listserve
All interested staff are able to participate on a closed google group for members, allowing for continued collaboration.
Thought Leadership
Workshops & Trainings
OEN supports and curates 2-3 workshops and trainings throughout the year. These trainings are generally member-led and focused on sharing each member’s programming strategies and trainings.

Members are able to utilize OEN support to improve their understanding of access and equity through OENs DEIJ Framework.
