We are a growing NETWORK of local organizations using training and outdoor gear libraries to help connect kids to the outdoors across America. 

Gear Resources

Gear Acquisition Support is a key resource that OEN offers to members. It consists of curated gear discounts, in-kind donation support, library design support, and facilitated non-gear purchases.

  • All OEN members have access to discounts from partner gear companies, usually ranging from 20% to 50%. Our partners occasionally change; below are our current gear partners that offer discounts. These discounts are in addition to the many in-kind donations that OEN members will have access to throughout each year.

    All members have access to the discounts, however OEN will charge a consulting fee on annual discount/donation amounts over $5,000. Please note that discounts are generally between 35% to 60% off of the retail price.

  • We are always looking for in-kind donations for our members. Please let us know if you need a particular item donated and we will do our best to support your fundraising efforts. OEN will charge a consulting fee on annual discount/donation amounts over $5,000, unless we have a prior agreement.

    We currently have in-kind donation agreements with Osprey (spring), GSI (spring), Bogs (year-round), and Nemo (fall).

  • We believe that the gear that you pick for your library communicates who you are including in your community definition. We work with you to make sure that these choices are intentional, especially around body size, body shape, gender, culture, comfort, community/family design, and physical ability.

  • We are happy to support you in the purchase of non-gear items required for the smooth running of your library. While we might not be able to produce discounts, we are able to facilitate structural purchases like commercial washing machines, shelving, and more. Please reach out to Seraph for further support.
